Speaker: Emma Verwaaijen, PPT, PhD Emma Verwaaijen is a pediatric physiotherapist and clinical epidemiologist (MSc) working at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology. She obtained her PhD in 2023 with the thesis “Musculoskeletal vulnerability and physical frailty during and after treatment for childhood cancer.” Her research focuses on physical functioning, risk factors for physical vulnerability, and the development of (p)rehabilitation interventions aimed at supporting physical resilience during treatment.
